Video editing duties include manipulating, exporting and editing segments for LIVE shows, making on-air packages, SOTVOs and VOs. 

• Working on live show segments delivering the News12 branding through videos shot by local photographers or CNN newsource video
• Display initiative and focus to remain as productive as possible when working collaboratively or independently
• Communicating with producers and assignment desk editors to deliver video that is cut to script
• Communicating with photographers on-the-field and taking in their VOs, SOTVOs, PKGs through satellite software

Master Control duties include monitoring the quality and accuracy of live air segments

• Helps to assure high quality broadcast by monitoring on-air signals in the North, Central, and South Jersey Return feeds
• Provide support for future broadcasts, press conferences, breaking news with caption booking and resolving any air problem which might occur
• Helps to assure regulations with other departments by maintaining discrepancy logs, equipment incident reports, and daily reports of master control recordings

Satellite Room duties include capturing, editing, and archiving video clips as needed for source materials as well as video archiving every day's footage from local sources and photographers and reporters.

The Media Arts Department in NJCU has helped and prepared me in media in both production and media studies. The professors were very passionate and connected well with me enabling me to expand my horizons and creativity with every project. The department gave me a hands-on experience through multi-media, video, media theories and film productions.

This is a documentary style video that focuses on a rockclimber and friend named Ray John who talks about his experiences as a rockclimber in a series of questions.

The assignment of this project was to create a short silent montage.

An average girl scurries the last second to make it on the train. She recollects herself, finds a seat next to a charming young man and on this train ride, they become acquaintances. Or do they become more?

HOPE

The following short is shot in 16mm Black and White Reversal film on a Bolex camera.

"Hope" explores the hardships of a young girl who loses her brother and how she copes with it. What I wanted to convey was that no matter if the person is gone physically, there is still "hope" that your loved loss one is still with you -- just in a different state of mind.

i'M BLACK BUT I'M NOT ...

The assignment was to take a social issue and make a 60-second video.

Having inspiration from the famous social media website, Buzzfeed, "I'm Black, but I'm Not ..." explores the issues of stereotypes among the black/African-American community. The goal is to showcase my school, New Jersey City University and its black students and faculty that they are above the stereotypes and have big dreams as well as high social standings than the apparent "norm" of their ethnicity or color.
